- Former executive director of the American Wine Alliance for Research and Education, a non-profit org dedicated to educating health care professionals about the risks and benefits of moderate alcohol consumption
- Weekly contributor to Wine Review Online and regular judge for Critic’s Challenge and International Wine Challenge
