To raise awareness and support, Edgemere Senior Living and the Dallas Area Parkinson Society (DAPS) are hosting the first annual Walk for Parkinson’s on Saturday, April 12, during Parkinson’s Awareness Month. With your help, we can provide more vital resources, education, and community support to those impacted by this incurable disease. DAPS is committed to ensuring no one needs to face Parkinson’s disease alone. Please consider supporting DAPS mission: Improving and impacting the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s disease.
- Ribbon cutting and walk kick-off with Dallas Mayor at 8:45 am at Edgemere, 8523 Thackery Street
- Onsite and parking shuttle service available
- T-shirts, raffle prizes, entertainment provided by the Honey Button Band
Every 9 minutes, someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and over 4,000 individuals in Dallas are currently living with the disease. This number is increasing as Parkinson’s becomes the fastest-growing neurological disease.
