Jamaal is a firm believer in resident satisfaction and enjoys providing them with culinary delights. The phrase, “This is the residents’ home, and if someone came to your house and cooked a bad meal how would you feel?” echoes through his brain. Jamaal began cooking in his 30s and attended Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts – Dallas. He has worked at many different locations, including Walt Disney World, T.I., Essilor, Gaylord Palms, Micheals and C.C. Young. Everywhere Jamaal goes, he strives to bring his passion for cooking food and providing excellent customer service, ensuring people feel heard and their concerns and problems are taken care of.

When Jamaal is not at Edgemere planning great menus, ordering supplies, and helping plan awesome building parties, he’s hanging out with his four sons, reading comics, watching movies, trying new and different cuisines, and trying to catch a fish (not always successfully). “My time here at Edgemere has been wonderful and informative,” he says. “I couldn’t ask for a better team than I work within the kitchen and front of the house, but the residents are truly a blessing. I will continue to work for their betterment, and hopefully, that will come through in the food and smiles we serve daily.”
